Board and Train
Sometimes your dog needs more than a few hours of training a week.
You love your dog. But when their behaviour is affecting everyday life, it can feel exhausting trying to manage everything on your own.
Maybe walks have become stressful.
Maybe you're constantly managing reactions to dogs or people.
Maybe their recall can't be trusted.
Maybe you're dealing with chasing, guarding, impulsivity or other behaviours that feel increasingly difficult to manage.
You've probably tried your best.
You've read the advice. You've watched the videos. You've tried different approaches.
But sometimes, you need someone to step in, take the pressure off, and give your dog the focused support they need.
That's where our Board & Train programme comes in.
Your dog stays in our home, where they receive daily, structured training tailored specifically to them.
But this isn't about sending your dog away and hoping they'll come home “fixed”.
It's about creating meaningful progress — and then helping you continue it at home.
A fresh start for you and your dog.
Residential training gives us the time and consistency to work intensively with your dog.
We can focus on the behaviours that are making life difficult, while also helping your dog build confidence, focus and better habits in everyday situations.
Training doesn't just happen indoors.
We'll work in the real world too, on walks, around distractions and in the situations where your dog needs to learn how to make better choices.
Every programme is built around the dog in front of us.
Because no two dogs, or owners, are the same.
What we can help with
Dog reactivity
Human reactivity
Poor recall
Lead pulling
Chasing
Resource guarding
Impulsive behaviours
Confidence and focus
Other complex or persistent behaviour challenges
If you're not sure whether Board & Train is right for your dog, that's exactly what the consultation is for.
But the training doesn't end when your dog comes home.
This is where our programme is different.
One of the biggest challenges with residential training isn't teaching the dog.
It's making sure the progress continues once they're back in their normal environment.
That's why we don't simply hand your dog back to you and wish you luck.
Your programme includes:
A full owner handover
We'll show you what your dog has learned, how to continue the training and how to handle the situations you're most likely to encounter at home.
A minimum of 4 weeks of ongoing support
Once your dog comes home, you'll have continued access to our guidance and support as you put everything into practice.
Two virtual 1-to-1 sessions
These sessions are designed to check your progress, troubleshoot any challenges and make adjustments where needed.
Because the first few weeks at home matter.
We want to keep the momentum going, not let the progress fade.
We're training you, too.
Your dog may make huge progress while they're with us.
But ultimately, they're coming home to you.
That's why owner education is such an important part of the programme.
We'll help you understand:
What your dog has learned
Why we've trained them in this way
How to communicate clearly
How to reinforce the behaviours you want
How to manage difficult situations
How to keep building on their progress
Our goal isn't for your dog to behave beautifully for us.
Our goal is for you to feel confident together.
Imagine bringing your dog home feeling different.
Imagine going for a walk and feeling more relaxed.
Imagine understanding what your dog is trying to tell you.
Imagine knowing what to do when something unexpected happens.
Imagine having the confidence to continue the work rather than wondering, “What do I do now?”
And imagine looking at your dog and feeling hopeful about what's ahead.
That's what we're working towards.
Is a Board & Train right for your dog?
Board & Train can be a great option if:
You're struggling with persistent or complex behaviour
You've tried training but aren't getting the progress you hoped for
You don't have the time to provide the consistency your dog needs
You need professional support to give your dog a strong foundation
You want help not just for your dog, but for yourself too
Every dog is different, so we'll always start with a conversation about your individual circumstances.
You don't need to know exactly what your dog needs.
That's our job.
Ready to start moving forward?
You don't have to keep wondering whether things will get easier.
Let's talk about your dog, what's happening and where you'd like to get to.
We'll help you work out the best next step.
